Over 1 million gallons of petroleum are spilled every year. Spills
at times may be cleaned up by the EPA and the U.S. Coast Guard.
On the larger spills, when the response is quick they can be cleaned
up with a process called skimming. Other clean up options include
in situ burning, applying chemical dispersants or applying biological
agents. In situ burning lets off excess smoke that may be toxic
to the environment and applying chemical dispersants have been studied
and reported to be worse for the ecological marine life than leaving
the crude to be taken care of naturally. The only choice for the
environment is a biological agent.
As products come and go, one has held strong and cleaned up over
13000 spills since 1989. OSE II, an environmentally safe and cost
effective clean up solution that uses nature's own bioremediation
processes to eliminate hazardous materials. OSE II is not a bacteria,
fertilizer or dispersant product, but rather a biological enzyme
that converts the waste into a natural food source for the native
bacteria found in the environment. The end result of the cleanup
process is water and CO2, reducing cleanup costs and permanently
eliminating the hazardous waste problems, requiring no secondary
cleanup.
As many countries will continue drilling and transporting petroleum
products, the risk of oil spills increase. As the spills continue
to occur, the EPA and The U.S. Coast Guard are battling a difficult
battle. Fortunately, OSEI II is listed on the Environmental Protection
Agency's National Contingency Plan for Oil Spills.
OSEI Corp is trusted and used by the US Navy, Air Force, Marines,
Coast Guard, and Army, as well as the Canadian Military and many
others. The overseas market is growing rapidly and the U.S. market
is sure to follow as the OSEI Corporation continues to prove and
demonstrate that OSE II is the most effective and efficient bioremediation
product in the world.
